Kickball

On Thursday, November 30th, Farm Games hosted a four-day kickball tournament at the Stanford Softball Stadium. Throughout these days, teams began as strangers but ended as close-knit communities and friends. Despite the challenge of balancing the tournament with students' classes and schoolwork, everyone persevered, showing up for their neighborhoods and stepping in whenever help was needed. The night games at the stadium added an extra layer of excitement, proving that fun doesn't have to end with daylight.

Redwood clinched the 2023 Kickball Championship title on Thursday, November 30th, earning 5,000 points with their 7-2 victory over Wisteria. The final match took place at the Stanford Softball Stadium. Despite their loss, Wisteria added 3,000 points to their neighborhood total. In the battle for third place, Olive triumphed over Ginkgo, securing an additional 1,000 points for their neighborhood.

This long event saw participation from over 160 students and 54 spectators at the final game. Four raffles were held throughout the night to reward students for supporting their neighborhoods. The high turnout and enthusiastic participation underscored the enduring popularity of kickball, regardless of the final scores. Looking ahead, we plan to partner with the Softball team for next year’s tournament. A huge thank you to them for generously allowing us to use their stadium. This event was highly anticipated, and its success highlights the community's love for the game of kickball.
