Farm Games concluded its final event for the 2023-2024 academic year on Saturday, May 25th, with an exciting evening of Goat-Karting that saw a surge of fresh faces joining in. Teaming up with K1 Speed at their Santa Clara location, Farm Games orchestrated an unforgettable experience, transporting four buses of eager students to the heart of action. The event boasted approximately 200 racers and accommodated 30 ride-alongs, catering to those who preferred to spectate or indulge in arcade games. Every attendee was treated to food and drink vouchers, redeemable for pizza slices, water, or soft drinks. For those who would want more refreshments were readily available throughout the event.

The racing schedule was thoughtfully organized, ensuring every participant had the chance to hit the track at least twice. Depending on their performance and fastest lap times, competitors could advance to the playoffs and championship rounds. The diversity of driving styles was on full display, ranging from lightning-fast racers to students navigating the course with cautious precision.

Each race lasted approximately 6-7 minutes, although the transition between heats and announcing participants’ names proved more time-consuming than anticipated. However, as the event unfolded, students found themselves immersed in the adrenaline-fueled world of Goat-Karting, with the intensity surpassing their expectations. Witnessing the skill and determination on display was truly awe-inspiring, particularly among the top contenders who demonstrated mastery of the track. Miles Biley, representing Sequoia, secured third place, followed by Ayaan Naveed Malik from Redwood in second place. Ultimately, it was Kai Hammond of Ginkgo who claimed victory, cementing their status as the fastest goat on the circuit. Congratulations to our top finishers and all participants who came out to Goat-Karting. It’s been a great first year for Farm Games.
