The Herd

Why join the Herd? As a member of the Herd, you'll have the opportunity to help organize events, shape the future of the Farm Games, and build connections with a diverse group of students across campus. You’ll also gain leadership experience and contribute to making Farm Games even more fun and exciting for the whole Stanford community! 

Why only FROSH? By welcoming FROSH into the Herd, we strive to help young students develop leadership skills early in their college careers. You’ll learn the ropes of teamwork, event planning, and leadership, which can set them up for success in future roles at Stanford. It also helps ensure that the team remains strong in the years ahead by building a pipeline of engaged and capable students.

WHY ARE WE CALLED THE HERD

We affectionately dubbed the student leadership team "The Herd" to symbolize their cohesive unity and collective strength, standing out amidst the rest of the student body playfully referred to as "the goats."

An exclusive team of passionate students assumes responsibility for designing, directing, and coordinating Farm Games competition, all finely tuned to resonate with the desires and interests of our student community.
