Bridging the Gap Between Student Athletes and Non-Student Athletes. This initiative aims to foster connection and community through fun and engaging competitions.
- By providing undergraduates with opportunities to connect with Stanford Athletics on a personal level—whether through interactions with teams or by experiencing athletic facilities firsthand—students gain a deeper appreciation for where teams practice and compete.
- By creating a space where undergraduates can meet peers from their Neighborhood and bond through recreational activities, the program helps build friendships and strengthen community spirit across the student body.

Frequently Asked Questions
The winner is decided using a point-based system. Throughout the academic year, participants earn points for their chosen Neighborhood by competing in events, showing Neighborhood pride, and participating as spectators. Additional points are awarded to top-performing Neighborhoods at each competition. At the final event of the year, all points are tallied—and the Neighborhood with the highest total wins!
The Neighborhood that finishes the year with the most points will be crowned champion! Winners receive custom championship rings and will be awarded the coveted Golden Goat Trophy, which will be displayed in their dining hall for all to see. Most importantly, they’ll earn year-long bragging rights as the best Neighborhood on campus.
To be eligible for a ring, individuals must earn 400 or more points over the academic year. Since attending an event earns you 100 points, that typically means showing up to at least four events. The more you participate, the better your chances of earning that ring!
Our Student Leadership Team is in charge of planning each year’s events. They carefully choose games based on student feedback and interests. Each quarter features one event inspired by classic elementary school PE games—bringing back the fun and nostalgia—while the rest are centered around specific sports.
All undergraduate students are welcome to participate—no experience required! Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just in it for the fun, there's a spot for you. Just sign up, represent your Neighborhood, and get ready to compete!
Signing up is easy! Before each event, we’ll share a sign-up form through your Neighborhood’s email, GroupMe, or Slack channel. Just fill out the form, choose your event, and you’re in. Keep an eye out for announcements on Instagram—spots can fill up fast!
Farm Games started in 2023 and has been growing ever since! What began as a way to build Neighborhood pride and bring students together and has become one of the most anticipated traditions on campus each year.
Farm Games aims to build community, spark Neighborhood pride, and create fun, low-stakes competition for all students. The program is designed to bridge the gap between athletes and non-athletes, providing a space where everyone can connect, compete, and belong. It's also a way for student-athletes to find a sense of community outside of their sport, fostering friendships and school spirit across all corners of campus.
For the past three years, Farm Games has been generously funded by an anonymous donor, which helped us build and grow the program. However, we’re seeking additional support to keep the games going strong.
